The Media Magic Journey

Life is a never ending adventure. Each of us embark on this journey with an idea of what we want and in which direction we will set our sails, but there is always an element of the unknown that helps us steer the course. Whether it’s a friend who presents an opportunity, or a life changing event like having a baby, getting a new job or committing to a marriage, we don’t always get what we want and that’s not always such a bad thing. Chopra (2013) postulates that our deepest, most heartfelt desires are like stars in a constellation . . . brilliant, twinkling lights that illuminate the way to develop pathways to our true destinies. He believes it is our soul’s mission to connect with, honor, and manifest our desires in order to live to our fullest potential and make the greatest contributions to the world. In other words, when we fulfill our heart-held dreams we excel, serving ourselves and others from a place of joy, generosity, and love (Chopra 2013). That means our journey really takes off when we listen to our deepest truths.

For me, from an early age I knew I wanted to teach and entertain. However, rather than pursue a degree as an educator, I received a degree to pursue a profession in the entertainment industry. What I didn’t realize was that in doing so, I would embark on an adventure that was both educational and entertaining!
